What we are not treating as confirmed

  • The exact date each household will receive a payment.
  • Full eligibility criteria, including how tenants with Council Tax in their rent, reductions and exempt households are treated.
  • How and when each council will invite non-Direct Debit households to apply.

Historical programmes can provide context, but they are not current rules. We do not treat the 2022 £150 rebate process as proof of the 2026/27 arrangements.

How updates are handled

We distinguish announced rules from unresolved details and record a visible checked date. This is a dated guide, not a live feed. If an official source has changed since the displayed date, follow the official source.

A correction should be supported by a government, council or other primary source. We avoid publishing estimated local rates or turning speculation into a confirmed outcome.
